Prometheus Review

After 30 Years, The long wait is over as Sir Ridley Scott has returned to the very genre he helped create, Science Fiction. Also making his return more anticipated, Mr. Scott is returning to one of the greatest franchises ever made, Alien. Prometheus has been in production for a very long time now (Since Alien vs. Predator was in production). So, The question on everybody's mind is; Can Prometheus live up to the fans expectations? I can happily say Yes it can.

Prometheus tells the story of a Spaceship crew that go in search of our creators entitled Engineers (Space Jockeys). They travel to a planet in a different galaxy by following an ancient set of co-ordinates on a star map. When they arrive at LV-223, They discover an ancient temple with a giant shrine, mysterious vases and Space Jockey Corpses however they soon realise their life dreams have become the stuff of nightmares and that if they can't stop the threat, Than Humanity may well indeed come to an end.

Prometheus definitley lives up to the expectations of many alien fans as it includes everything from Androids to Facehuggers to the Very First Xenomorph (Alien) to the Space Jockey and contains High octane Sci-Fi and Action with a few Jumpy parts for people with a nervous disposition. The film also doesn't disappoint when it comes to the cast which is one hell of a line-up including Noomi Rapace  (The Millenium Trilogy), Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class), Guy Pearce (The Hurt Locker), Idris Elba (THOR), Logan Marshall Green (Devil), Charlize Theron (Snow White & The Huntsman), Rafe Spall (Shaun of the Dead), Sean Harris (24 Hour Party People) & A Cameo apearance from Patrick Wilson (Insidious). As previously stated, Prometheus is phenommenal and definitley has plenty of gory scenes aswell as leaving the story open for a possible sequel. Absolutley fantastic and you would be stupid not to see this.*****

Men in Black III Review

In case you didn't know; Men in Black is a Science Fiction / Comedy series about a secret government agency who must keep the secret that aliens exist hidden from the earths humans. The film is based off the Marvel Comic of the same name. The films are directed by Barry Sonnifeld (The Addams Family) and produced by Steven Spielberg (Jaws). When news was confirmed that a third Men in Black film was in production, lots of people were excited and skeptical mainly because of the fact that it has been 10 years since Men in Black II came out. So the question is, Can this film live up to the legacy that has been left behind by the past 2 films? Well, I'm proud to announce that it does indeed continue the Men in Black Legacy.

After a violent alien escapes an intergalactic prison and starts an Alien Invasion. Agent J finds out that his partner, Agent K has been involved in a Time Travel assassination. So in order to save his partner and the world, J time jumps to 1969 where he must team up with a younger version of K and an alien called Griffin to take down both versions of the violent alien known as Boris and stop the end of the world but J also finds out that if he doesn't complete his task beore times up; He will be stuck in 1969 for the rest of his life.

Once again, Men in Black 3 doesn't fail to deliver the fun that many have come to expect from the Men in Black series and the film also holds the current record of the most expensive film ever made. The special effects in the film are fantastic and include a futuristic motorbike and the time jump sequence and the make up for the Aliens from Rick Baker (Norbit) is phenomenal. The film has an all star cast that includes Will Smith (I Am Legend), Tommy Lee Jones (Captain America), Josh Brolin (Jonah Hex), Emma Thompson (Nanny McPhee) and Jermaine Clement (Rio). The film also features a song by Will Smith and Pitbull. All in all, Men in Black 3 definitley proves that this franchise is indeed not dying down and I can personally say that I welcome Men in Black 4 with open arms. Lets just hope that it doesn't take another 10 years.*****
