The Dark Knight Rises Review

Back in 2005, Director Christopher Nolan teamed up with Warner Bros. to show the world his take on the Batman Legacy by releasing Batman Begins which saw the caped crusader taking on Ra's Al Ghul and Scarecrow in a smoke filled Gotham. Then in 2008, He yet again brought Batman to the big screen in the critical success; The Dark Knght in which Batman took on the menacing criminal known only as The Joker aswell as ally turned foe, Two-Face. Now the Amazing Nolan has delivered the conclusion to one of the greatest trilogies of all time with The Dark Knight Rises.

The Dark Knight Rises takes place 8 years after the events of The Dark Knight. A New threat is heading towards Gotham City in the form of masked terrorist Bane who plans on making Gotham Burn. Soon after finding out his intentions; Bruce Wayne must once again don the cowl of the legendary Batman as Gothams last hope but when things go from bad to worse and Gotham is under Nuclear threat, Can Batman save his beloved Gotham with the help of Selina Kyle (Catwoman) or will the legend end for Gothams Dark Knight?

The Dark Knight Rises is truly stunning in all meanings of the word with a beautiful soundtrack from Hans Zimmer who has also composed some music to commemorate the victims of the terrible shootings in the Aurora theatre may those poor souls rest in peace. It also includes an Amazing cast consisting of Christian Bale (Terminator Salvation), Tom Hardy (This Means War), Anne Hathaway (Rio), Michael Caine (The Italian Job), Gary Oldman (Leon), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (50/50), Marion Cotillard (Inception), Morgan Freeman (The Shawshank Redemption), Cillian Murphy (Sunshine), Josh Pence (The Social Network), Liam Neeson (Taken) & Matthew Modine (Full Metal Jacket) to name a few. The film also uses special effects to make the film what it is aswell as many different camera angles and the dark gritty tone of the Batman films but especially the introduction of the Bat and more but one thing is certainly for sure; This is definitley not one to miss and is the best film of 2012 so far...*****
